FareWrangler — Terms of Service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FareWrangler (the "App"), provided by Billet Studios, LLC ("we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App does
FareWrangler reads ride-offer information that is already displayed on your own device's screen by rideshare apps you have installed, and announces an estimated dollars-per-hour figure by voice and on screen. On Android it reads the screen through Android's Accessibility service; on iPhone, through a screen broadcast that you start. On Android, if you enable reservation alerts, it also recognizes a scheduled or reservation offer from those driver apps' notifications and alerts you; on iPhone it reads a reservation offer when you open it in the driver app. When you tap Open on an alert, the App brings the driver app to the front (the same as tapping that app's own notification); on Android it may also clear earlier duplicate copies of the same offer notification. Otherwise the App is read-only — it never taps, accepts, declines, or otherwise acts inside any app — and it does not connect to, log in to, scrape, or access the servers or accounts of any rideshare company. The App reads and calculates on your device; the Privacy Policy lists the few things that use the internet, such as looking up the area of an address and downloading map tiles.
Everything in the App, the hidden parts included. We would rather you hear it from us, so here is every part of FareWrangler that is not on a menu: what it is, what it does, and how to get to it.
- The Developer page (Android and iPhone). The tools we use to hunt down an offer the App read wrong. On Android: a switch that records the text the reader saw on each offer card, a way to copy or send that record, the notifications your driver apps posted, and a crash test. On iPhone: a check that the App reads a sample offer card, a test offer you can put on screen, the driver-app banners the reader saw, and a crash test. How to get there: Settings > About, then tap the version number seven times; from the fourth tap it counts down, and a Developer page appears in Advanced settings. Tap the version number seven more times to hide it again. Nothing on it sends anything unless you choose to send it, and none of it is needed to use the App.
When we add another hidden feature, it goes in this list the same way, with how to find it.
2. No affiliation
FareWrangler is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Uber Technologies, Inc., Lyft, Inc., DoorDash, Inc., Amazon.com, Inc., or any other transportation network company or delivery company. All product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners; any reference to those companies is for identification and compatibility purposes only (nominative use) and does not imply endorsement.
3. Your responsibility and assumption of risk
Using the App may violate the terms of service, driver agreement, or other rules of the rideshare company whose information you view. You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with any agreement you have with those companies. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Use of the App may, at the rideshare company's discretion, result in warnings, suspension, or permanent deactivation of your driver account;
- You assume all risk arising from your use of the App, including any loss of access to a rideshare platform or loss of income;
- We do not control and are not responsible for the actions of any rideshare company;
- You will not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
If you are not willing to accept these risks, do not use the App.
4. Driving safely
FareWrangler is no excuse for looking at or handling your phone while you drive. Its voice is there so you do not have to read your screen to hear an offer's rate, but it is not a license to use your phone behind the wheel. Follow the law where you drive, keep your eyes on the road, and pull over before you read or touch your phone. You alone are responsible for how and when you use the App.
5. Accuracy / no reliance
Earnings estimates, dollars-per-hour figures, and reservation details are estimates for informational purposes only, derived from information displayed on your screen. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on the App as the sole basis for any decision. Verify any figure or offer before acting on it.
6. Trial and purchase
FareWrangler is a free download with a 7-day free trial. The trial starts the first time the reader runs or, on Android, the first time a reservation alarm rings. When the 7 days end, the App asks you to unlock it to keep reading offers. Importing rides from a file needs the unlock. One in-app purchase unlocks the App for life, with every update included. There is no subscription. The price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.
Payment and refunds are handled by the store you buy from, under Apple's (App Store) or Google Play's rules, not by us, and we never see your payment details. To ask for a refund, use that store's refund process.
7. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the App except as allowed by law.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ESTIMATE IS ACCURATE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BILLET STUDIOS, LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF INCOME, PROFITS, OR DATA, OR FOR DEACTIVATION OF ANY RIDESHARE ACCOUNT, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP, OR (B) US $50.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Billet Studios, LLC from any claim or demand arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms or of any third party's rights or agreements.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted in the App or store listing.
